In the 1930s, another local businessman, Ralph Cobey, joined Woods and helped grow the company and its line of crushing equipment. Ralph decided to move the company in a new direction when he took full ownership of the company in 1952 and moved Eagle to Galion, Ohio, where it remains to this day.
Later, Ralph’s daughter, and current CEO, Susanne Cobey, took over Eagle Crusher and helped transform the industry. She saw the need, just as her father did with the rock crushing equipment, for recycling equipment. Susanne brought the horizontal shaft impactor design over from Europe to transform the concrete and asphalt recycling industry.
